I’m a journalist and writer in Chicago.
I specialize in investigative journalism and feature writing, documenting hidden histories, subverted narratives, broken systems and people fighting for change. My reporting has been published in The Guardian, VICE, TIME, The New Republic, CityLab, Literary Hub, Columbia Journalism Review, In These Times, The A.V. Club, Next City, Chicago magazine, Chicago Reader and South Side Weekly.
Most recently, I was an associate program manager with the International Women’s Media Foundation, where I managed reporting grants, fellowships and awards for women and nonbinary journalists around the globe. I’m also a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and Investigative Reporters & Editors.
Beats: Politics and government, the environment, arts and culture, literature, labor, urban development, architecture, Asian America, etc.
